hehe!

I just noticed that in the following post there is a picture with a mobile thinger on the crib and a hanger hanging from it. Yes, we are very poor and have to entertain our children with twirling hangers. We make do. Actually, I WAS trying to entertain Graye and keep him out of the paint by putting him in there and hanging various objects from the mobile. It hasn't been otherwise used in ages and we just never took it down. So anywho, now that I have justified our lives... please continue!

Painting!! Again.

After having painted Graye's room right before he was born, we decided that we were done with cheery yellow, and needed to move on to something a little less jarring when you walked into the room. As Graye and his new sister will be sharing a space, we still needed a neutral tone, and the most obvious I guess is green. So that's what we chose. I saw on a home decorating show (don't listen to Dionne saying I stole the sripe idea from her!) someone suggesting stripes, but in the same colour with one matte and one shiny and thought, "what a fine idea!" That was obviously before I spent an entire day taping stripes on the walls. However it turned out really well, I love it, as does Ryan, and as I am sure Graye and baby do as well (they beeettterrrr!!! *shake fist here*) =D I don't know if these pictures really show the effect that well, but trust me... looks great, come over and have a look for yourselves anytime!

Tape stripes....

...finished! That easy.

Poor Graye...

...he got SUPER sick right after Christmas (after his dad got it, and his uncle and grandpa and cousin... and every other boy in town, but no girls come to think of it! odd.) Anyways, got a huge fever, didn't eat for days and spent most of his time sleeping, cuddling and wimpering. It was a sad sad state!

Cuddling mom and baby sister at the same time...

If you've never seen Graye's hands close up, here's a good shot of his little teepee fingers. Not sure if he'll ever outgrow those!

I was trying to get a picture of his crazy rooster 'do, but it's just a bit sad looking as he kind of looks terrible! And skinny! Still has his cheeks though (gets those from his mom, I know).

Being cool... hangin' out... etc.

I think the sippy cup completes the "look".

Helping Dad set up the new toy holder... Nana and Farfar were thinking at Christmas!

Graye's other new favourite pastime - Guitar Hero! Although Dad plays better, Graye looks cooler with it!

Merry Christmas!

What's Christmas without the requisite Christmas outfit? Thanks Aunty Cindy and cousins for this one! Pretty cute... although the shoes either make or break this whole ensemble, depending on who you talk to I guess! What a rocker rebel.

Toys!

We definitely need a separate house just for Graye to store his toys in now. He had a really good Christmas to say the least! I think that even just hanging out with his cousins would have been enough fun for him at this stage though.... plus the toys.... =D

Been awhile!

Sorry for the huge lapse in posting on here! In the time that's passed Graye's started running around, my belly got huge, we had Christmas and New Year's, I finished work for another year, and I passed the point in this pregnancy where Graye would have been born! YAY!

So I'll try and stick up a few pictures commemorating all these momentous events. =) Here's a couple just cute ones of Graye in his winter fashions...
