One more post... today.

Ryan and I decided to make Mardi Gras type masks for our Halloween costumes this year. We had a CD release party to go to for a band that Ryan produced, so we were forced to figure out some type of costume! We made these using plaster (like for casts) and many layers of drywall mud that we sanded down and then spray painted.

Happy Birthday 4th Maizie and Ella!

We went to Regina for Maizie and Ella's 4th birthday. They looked beautiful in their fancy party dresses! Unfortunately I think I grabbed the wrong camera at cake time and didn't get any pictures of the lovely butterfly cake that Jeanette made. I think she probably has a few on their camera though!

Dinosaurs!

We went to the Natural History Museum in Regina and looked at all the dinosaurs. Graye was quite happy about it... although the "underwater" area with the big swimming dinosaur above us was a little scary apparently. And Mega Munch had a sore throat and wasn't saying much - he was still impressive to look at though! As you can see, it was very difficult to get anyone to look at the camera when there was so much other impressive stuff to look at.

Leaves!!

The weather has been better than we have had in a while lately - no snow yet!! (Well, that has stayed anyways.) Still great for playing in leaves!

Happy Halloween!

We took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch on Halloween. Graye had missed his preschool class trip there because he was sick. He had been really looking forward to it so we thought we should go. They both thought it was pretty neat - must be a different experience when you aren't tall enough to see over the hay bales in the maze! Graye dressed up as a dinosaur and Tegan as a pixie - though Graye didn't have his dino head or feet on. I didn't get any really good pictures of both of them dressed up properly. Oh, well. Maybe next year.

Pumpkin Carving

Both Graye and Tegan LOVED the pumpkin carving. Tegan was right into putting her hands in there and pulling out the "guts", while Graye thought that part was "yucky" - but was fascinated with the finished product. I admit it's no work of art, but it was good enough (and quick enough) to keep them entertained!

Autumn

I was cleaning out the pots and leaves and stuff from the front yard and the kids were playing in the backyard. I went back there when I was done, but couldn't see them anywhere. I had just heard them giggling though, so I called Graye... then heard another little giggle and he said, "We're hiding!" They were both sitting behind this big bush that grows beside our back gate. Pretty good hiding spot - can you see them?

Aunty Cindy comes for a visit! The kids LOVED her - she was game for all the things we are tired of doing. e.g.) pushing them around the kitchen in "train" boxes for ages. Thanks for playing!
