Beaver Creek

We drove out to Beaver Creek last week after seeing a friend's amazing photos. Also, it was a crazy warm January day and we needed to do something outside! Aaaand my friend at "no invitation required" made the cutest toques EVER for the kids, and I needed a good excuse to take them on a photo shoot. Feel free to send her a message if you are now in desperate need of one of these yourself.

The guy in the interpretive centre gave us seeds to feed the chickadees - see:

Tegan taking a rest halfway through our hike.

The chickadees were being shy so the kids decided to plant the seeds (in the snow) so we could go back and see the sunflowers in summer.

We saw some!! Standing very very still so they will come and get our seeds...

Made ya flinch!!

Pretty neat day! At the end of our walk we went back through the centre and Graye saw a puppet stage and wanted to stay for the show. I told him there wasn't one that day but we could come back again when they were on. Later, I asked what the kids liked best on the trip to "the creek" and Graye would only say, "But there wasn't a puppet show..." ;b Honestly!! I guess we'll need to go back again.

Happy 3rd Birthday Tegan!

My baby is now 3 years old - pretty crazy! For her birthday party we decorated frames, painted faces and then took pictures of the kids to put in the frames.

Tegan... in her dramatic "dark butterfly" pose.

This was a much more common expression that day ;)

Shark attack!!

Dino bites! Graye spent most of the rest of the afternoon looking in the mirror that he was carrying around.

Old school princess cake! I remember my mom making these for my sister and I for our birthdays.

We did a treasure hunt as well... found it!

Gift opening with the family, post kid party. :)
