The guy in the interpretive centre gave us seeds to feed the chickadees - see:

Tegan taking a rest halfway through our hike.

The chickadees were being shy so the kids decided to plant the seeds (in the snow) so we could go back and see the sunflowers in summer.

We saw some!! Standing very very still so they will come and get our seeds...

Made ya flinch!!

Pretty neat day! At the end of our walk we went back through the centre and Graye saw a puppet stage and wanted to stay for the show. I told him there wasn't one that day but we could come back again when they were on. Later, I asked what the kids liked best on the trip to "the creek" and Graye would only say, "But there wasn't a puppet show..." ;b Honestly!! I guess we'll need to go back again.

What a great day! I'm so glad the chickadees decided to come out!
It is so nice to see you taking Graye and Tegan to Beaver Creek. It brings back some great memories of when we took you three. The hats are amazing! Needless to say we are printing off a few of the chickadee in the hand, etc. pictures!

What a cool day out! I'm so impressed with Graye keeping still enough to hold the bird...and being so brave! Well done Graye! I saw the owl touques on your friends website and they are amazing! If she is willing to sell, I will buy at least one...maybe more as Christmas presents for next winter!
Glad to see the toques fit and that the kids seem to like them!!! You got some great pictures, the kids look so cute:)
