Scheduled Posting!

I have figured out how to schedule my posts for future dates! Not that it was hard, I just never really bothered doing it before. But NOW, instead of posting 10 posts at a time when I finally get around to doing it, I will SCHEDULE them to post somewhat randomly throughout the next few weeks. This way you will always have something to look forward to. Namely: new pictures of my kids. Possibly: a bit of witty banter. You love it, admit it. ;) Thanks for coming!

Here's the first one...

The kids and I painted some rocks for the garden!

Tegan also painted other things...

Graye was concentrating hard on his bumblebee.

Done!

Summary of a wedding, a zoo and a parade...

As I have been a pretty poor blogger lately, here is a super quick summary of what we've done.

Went to the zoo with Nana and Farfar -

Went to the Warman rodeo parade (and collected more candy than on Hallowe'en!)

Is it me, or do clowns just not make any effort anymore??

...and got dressed up for our first wedding of the "season".

Better coverage of camping below. ;)

First Camping Trip of 2011

We went camping to Memorial Lake a couple weekends ago. It was great! We had the whole campground to ourselves (can't imagine why!!??) and good weather. The nights were pretty cool, but we're all tough. Well... the rest of the family is tough, I just do my best to pretend.

We camped right by the beach and the playground (and the flush bathrooms!) Perfect...

Had excellent camp food:

Whoops...

Checking out the fish -

Best part of camping: making s'mores.

It was a bit chilly at the beach... kids still wanted to go in the water though, so we compromised.

It did warm up though!

The lake early in the morning (and with the kids camping, it really is early).

My mom and dad came out for an afternoon as well. They picked a good one too, it was nice and warm that day. Mom looks a little concerned with the water balloons in such close range though - don't think she was that warm.

Dad sympathizing with Graye having to eat his supper before he gets dessert...

Stopping for ice cream and to look at the train before going home -

"Happy Easter: A journey of 9,000,000 photos"

Easter prep started on Good Friday. That morning we:

1. Decorated eggs. Didn't work out quite as well as I hoped... as in the kids' eggs were better than mine. I'll show them next year!

Dionne came over to help the kids and I do some Easter baking. I found a whole bunch of fancy decorating things at the Bulk Barn (my new favourite place!)

2. Decorated cupcakes:

3. Took a cute picture of Graye:

4. Had a chair race... that quickly turned into a chair fight (well, would have if the kids were strong enough to wield them):

5. "Ate" a donut:

6. Formed the cake-pops:

7. Decorated the cake pops. Tip: This looks like something that you and your kids could have a lot of fun doing together. OMG, IT IS NOT. This is purely an adult activity. Holy goodness, the mess.... oh, the mess...

But look how pretty in the end! One would never know the state of the kitchen previous to this... unless you had helpful documentation like that I've provided.

On Saturday we went to Ryan's parents' house to celebrate with the Andersen side. We started with an egg hunt and ended with Twister. Parties just don't really change as you get older!

On Sunday we woke up to find what the Easter Bunny left the kids at our place:

Yes, yes, a product of her mother... anything for a laugh!

Graye spent his time a little more constructively, building a 3-D dino:

All ready for the Youchezin side to come over!

Who knew Neil could make such a cute kid?! ;)

"Not work appropriate" (Neil):

Graye specifically wanted a picture of his treat:

Right before the sugar crash:

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter too! Next: the 17 day diet. Ugh.
