The past week:

We spent a day at Memorial Lake with the Youchezin family. Tegan LOVED playing in the water, and only got out every once in a while to warm up. She also got her first haircut last Friday - check out the little girl bangs now!

Graye mostly liked throwing shovels of wet sand into the water. Don't worry, we made him move to an unpopulated part of the beach!

And Graye had his first day of SCHOOL! It seemed to go really well - at least he didn't want to come home after it was done. I take that as a good sign!

The past week:

A day at Pike Lake

We went to Pike Lake a couple weekends ago and hung out at the beach and the park then had a wiener roast before coming home. It was really nice - we had to take advantage of the beautiful "fall" weather as there wasn't much of it during summer this year!

Funny Tegan

Wearing protective headgear reserved for keeping watch and playing with scary toys.

With Aunty Jeanette and cousin Maizie.

Backwards horsey ride.

MMMmmm bananas! Thanks Corey, Lindsay, Paige and Hanna for the SUPER cute dress too!

Sorry these don't line up with the pictures... made a mistake and now refuse to reload all the pics! I'm sure you can figure it out. =)

Slurp!

Do you all remember drinking from the hose as a kid? I do... the water from there always tasted so good! Watching them do this now kinda seems a bit unsanitary, but I couldn't deprive them of such a basic childhood experience!

The rest of Graye's birthday...

... I am finally putting up the pictures of Graye's "actual" birthday party. We had cake and went to the paddling pool and opened presents... new water guns, smash cars, and of course, dinosaurs! It was a lot of fun, thanks for coming everyone!

Happy 3rd Birthday Graye!

Graye turned 3 years old today!! We had a little party last night for my dad and Graye (Graye was born 3 minutes after midnight on the 12th - my dad's birthday is on the 11th.. just missed it!) Today we had our "gift opening" in the morning, and then Ryan's parents and Grandpa came for supper. We were going to have a kids party, but had to cancel as Graye got sick with eye and ear infections. BOO! Maybe we'll try for next weekend for the kids - the birthday that went on and on!

Graye got slot cars...

Tegan needed something too... it was more like Christmas at our house - presents for everyone!

Graye also got a big boat...

Cake #3! (After camping cake and Dida/Graye cake)

Family! Thanks for coming and for all the gifts!

Thanks for all the Youchezin birthday fun also, even though I missed pictures of it! Graye got a great variety of dinosaurs - he LOVES them! =D

Andersen Camping

We went camping to Sask. Landing with Ryan's side of the family on the July "long weekend".

This was a little ways in front of our campsite... nice to take the kids to to play, but pretty muddy! (Which made it even better for the kids!)

I guess the actual beach wasn't much better mud-wise, but still a lot of fun! This kept them busy for ages... I tell ya - dirt and water is all you need to keep my kids entertained!

We had a camp style birthday cake for Kristen and Graye since we aren't all together to celebrate on the actual days. I think Graye liked it...

Aaaaand this is what Ryan and his brother Mike did all weekend - played with the remote control car and fixed the remote control car.

Hammock Time

This was a VERY popular item - although there was not a lot of "adult" relaxing going on in it! It reached maximum capacity fairly quickly!

No, sadly they are not really asleep. Just pretending... which is almost as good! =)
