Andersen Camping

We went camping to Sask. Landing with Ryan's side of the family on the July "long weekend".

This was a little ways in front of our campsite... nice to take the kids to to play, but pretty muddy! (Which made it even better for the kids!)

I guess the actual beach wasn't much better mud-wise, but still a lot of fun! This kept them busy for ages... I tell ya - dirt and water is all you need to keep my kids entertained!

We had a camp style birthday cake for Kristen and Graye since we aren't all together to celebrate on the actual days. I think Graye liked it...

Aaaaand this is what Ryan and his brother Mike did all weekend - played with the remote control car and fixed the remote control car.

Hammock Time

This was a VERY popular item - although there was not a lot of "adult" relaxing going on in it! It reached maximum capacity fairly quickly!

No, sadly they are not really asleep. Just pretending... which is almost as good! =)

New Randoms

Graye has started getting out of bed and quietly opening his door to come downstairs. Usually he makes it all the way and we haul him back up to bed, but I guess this night he was just too tired to get any further. We found him asleep in the hall outside his room when we went upstairs much later!

Baking with mom (really only fun if there are copious amounts of chocolate chips involved.)

Eatin' corn with feet up on the table... it's obvious who runs the house.

1000 count popsicle sticks... what they look like out of the box. (Whatever keeps them entertained, right?)

Superstar!!! Or hippie... not sure which...

May Long Camping!

We went camping this weekend with the "Youchezin" side of the family, despite the fact that it had snowed all day the day before we left. It was COLD the first night!!

It did warm up though... the following pictures prove it! I got a pretty bad sunburn out of it - being stupid and not believing that it was actually going to be as warm as it was! The kids did ok, long nights and early mornings but it was still a lot of fun.

Around Camp

Dirt + water = best distraction ever! I noticed a big pile of nice sand behind our truck the day we were leaving. =b Darn.

This is where Tegan was happiest. We have nothing to do with that, I swear!!

Tegan trying to ride on the car - maybe we should have brought one that fits her!

Graye with his stomp rocket - another great entertainment item (for everyone!)

Watermelon!

I took about 10 pictures of Tegan eating watermelon, just because she was so cute doing it!! Here are the best ones...

At the beach...

We went down to the beach just to throw stones in, but ended up staying the whole afternoon. The kids loved it! And for a kid who hates going swimming at a pool, Tegan sure didn't seem to mind the lake water - despite the fact that the ice must not have melted off of it more than 2 weeks ago! She was sitting right in it for a little while.

Ryan's parents and Grandpa came out for the afternoon too.

Graye found a snail...

Although Tegan doesn't look too happy here, they both thought the boat ride was pretty good, and Ryan and I got a good leg workout!

Tegan's Summer Outerwear

She's prepared no matter what the weather might be!

This is Graye's that she found and wanted to wear. She walked around with it on for about an hour.

How to drink juice...

...if you are a cat... or Tegan.

Youchezin Easter

I looked at this photo and could suddenly picture what Graye will look like in a few more years...

Gotta love chocolate!!

Tegan got this litte puppy and had to carry it around in the basket, picking it up and shoving it back in whenever it fell out.

Graye's two favourite things combined into one!!! Cars and chocolate!

Tegan's fish... think she can eat it all in one sitting? Think we'll ever let her try??
